Make your twitter following soar! How to target perfect reader with Jooicer.

I’m laughing at myself. Why? I am no twitter expert. But… I feel like I have unlocked the secret to growing a twitter following and automating the platform so I can take one more thing off my never ending list of things to do.

(Because in blogging and digital marketing, we can do something 24/7/365 and never be done, right?)

Last year my business motto was “work smart not hard” and of course that mantra still rings true today. And while I absolutely adore IFTTT and everything it has to offer, the capabilities to actually grow an audience on twitter instead of just recycle tweets is pretty amazing.

Affiliate links included to pay for the ever-growing list of business expenses.

So there I was, scrolling through facebook when my sweet blogging friend Kristen asks me about Twitter. And, of course, because I am addicted to AppSumo, I had already seen an awesome deal for this tool called Jooicer I had never heard of.

But because 1) I 100% believe in automation and because 2) things that make my life easier tend to fall into the category of “impulse buys”, I totally took the plunge.

When I was with them a total of 2 days, my jaw dropped to the floor from being so impressed.

Then after a month, I saw not only growth, but sustained numbers that didn’t fall back to their previous counts. Just look at the numbers. And notice that the second screenshot below is for only 20 days.

So what did I do to automate Twitter growth?

Let me first introduce you to Jooicer.

Jooicer, meet awesome reader. Awesome reader, meet Jooicer. You’ll be friends, I know it.

So this is the dashboard. And in it I have already worked to set parameters for my twitter account. Granted, I should probably be whitelisting the pros I love, but that is less of my concern right now in my quest to build a twitter following.

Next, because it’s important to make twitter profitable, I created a tracking ID.

And because organization is important and Jooicer doesn’t currently have the ability to continue to cycle content like IFTTT does, I also made a spreadsheet of all the tweets I was going to be scheduling so that I could set an alarm on my calendar to go back and reschedule them once Jooicer makes it through all of them.

They recently allow batch uploading that I can going to start using with the tweets I already have. You can even include a link to an image you want to include.

(Side note: IFTTT changes the link structure of permalinks in their shares, Jooicer do NOT). Hooray, that’s a big bonus for me because I own some shortlink domains!

When you first sign up it will ask for 5 profiles you admire.

In choosing, go ahead and pick them based on your perfect avatar. Ultimately it’s going to follow those people that follow the pages you list to help them realize you exist. (Sounds like 4th grade note passing, right? And we all hope they check the box “Yes, I like you”)

The sweet sauce to helping your twitter account ACTUALLY GROW is that you have tweets scheduled AND you’re following the followers that will like the content you’re scheduling.

Then set up your parameters for favoriting tweets.

I personally like to target hashtags and topics that I know will not only grow my audience to hopefully send me traffic, but also have the potential to be profitable (like natural pregnancy since I have an online childbirth course) .

And the final secret sauce to using Jooicer is that you can automate list building and effectively showcase yourself and the topics you find desireable because when someone notices you’ve added them to an awesome list with a topic they care about, they typically come to your profile.

And if they like you (check box officially checked from that 4th grade note), they will follow you.

And that, my friends, is Jooicer for the twitter win.
